Howdy, folks!
It’s been kind of quiet around here lately, but I promise it’s not for lack of things going on behind the scenes here at Cooley Ranch. I just haven’t had much that I could announce.
So what’s been going on? I’ve taken on a couple editing side jobs to bring in some extra money. While that’s been going on, I have also been working on two new books. One of them you know about and the other one is still hush-hush.
- I’ve been continuing to write on the upcoming sequel to Sir Edge. “Halfbreeds” is still coming out this year. I hope to have it finished in a couple months and Alpha readers will have more chapters to read soon. It’s exciting. I have several plot lines started way back during the Moonrat Saga that are finally bearing fruit and I think you will love the results.
- Like I said, I still can’t reveal too much about that second book. I am co-writing it with another author, someone I have been a huge fan of for many years, but someone who is new to fantasy. It is in the late stages of development, we have the book fully fleshed out and outlined and we have started writing, but it may be a while before I can reveal who and what it is. Suffice it to say that you will be excited when you get the details. It’s based in an all new world and the magic system is something unique and special.
In addition there are other books in early stages of pre-production including Tallow Jones book 3 and the rest of the Dark Prophet Saga.
Someone recently asked me about the Noose Jumpers sequel as well and I do have plans. It’s one of my favorite books I’ve ever written. I actually have plot ideas for at least five books with the Red Star Gang and their spectral backers. The only problem is that sales for Noose Jumpers were really slow. Not many of my readers wanted to give my fantasy western a chance. Nevertheless, sales trickle in and I hope that I can eventually afford to take the time to write it. The best thing I can ask you to do is read it and leave a review on Amazon and tell others. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement for something like this.
