Behemoth Cover Reveal and Mini Preview

Some quick announcements. Behemoth is coming together. I had hoped to be finished by now, but as this is the culmination of the last six books I want to make sure it is done right. What does that mean? It won’t be long. We are mere weeks away from release. I will keep you updated on this site, Facebook, and Twitter so stay tuned.

But that’s not why you are here. The cover art for Behemoth has been completed, folks, and it is breathtaking. Renu did a fabulous job bringing my concept to life.

Here is the back cover blurb:

THE FINALE OF THE JHARRO GROVE SAGA

The Behemoth was created a thousand years ago, its body stretching for miles under Malaroo’s swamplands turning them into a dangerous and uninhabitable place. Now it has learned to swallow the peoples of Malaroo and transform them into its own army; a twisted mix of troll and man known as the Trollkin. It hungers to consume the power of the Jharro Grove and if it succeeds the world will be plunged into darkness.

Justan and Jhonate, forced to hold off their wedding until the threat is over, find themselves stuck between the two rival factions that are the only hope of defeating the Behemoth and its everlasting hunger.

A Bowl of Souls novel.

This marks the 9th cover she has done for me and I see no reason to stop now.

Now you may be wondering from descriptions in past books where this cover takes place. The exact location is something you’ll just have to read about to find out, but I can show you the exact moment that this cover comes from.

Mini Preview #3 is the cover explanation. It comes from chapter 3 and is part of Fist’s new dream.

Mini-previews are short clips of scenes from the book, kind of like the glimpses of scenes you see in movie trailers. Each one will only be a few paragraphs long, but will give you a taste of what is to come. I try to pick these scenes in such a way that they do not spoil major plot points, however: If you have not read the other books in the Jharro Grove Saga, SPOILERS AHEAD!

Fist broke free from the thick fog and the way in front of him opened up into a spectacular view. Not far away was an enormous pyramidal structure surrounded by water. It was made of great blocks of gray stone that were worn by time and partially covered with lichens and mosses.

Fist could see Deathclaw and Justan ahead of him. They were heading straight for the pyramid towards a dark opening in its side. The water bulged all around his friends, serpentine shapes rising from the earth.

The cackle echoed again and Fist saw a strange figure in the distance. A woman stood on a bank of grass watching their flight. She was voluptuous and wore gauzy finery that was oddly clean for a woman in the swamp. A wealth of lustrous black curls tumbled from her head, marred only by one blond lock that sprouted at the top of her forehead.

The woman raised her arms triumphantly and as she did so enormous green tentacles rose from the water. They were thicker than Gwyrtha was long and arched up as high into the air, their tips as tall as the top of the great pyramid itself. The lengths of the tentacles were covered in sharp barbs.

Watch out!” Fist cried aloud and through the bond.
